Spades
So, here I am in Prescott, AZ. Becki's mom decided we were going to the casino tonight. She also decided to give us each $40 seed money. We wandered around for a while- none of the $5 blackjack tables had any openings. Finally, a new table opened up.
I have to tell you. I don't gamble often. Actually, I only do when I'm with Becki or her parents, and we all know how often that happens! With Beck in China and the parents in Arizona... But, there's something else you need to know. I always walk away ahead. Usually it's only a few bucks ahead.
So the three of us sat at this table, and a couple came and sat with us. The five of us played for over an hour, with the last seat filled on occasion. I only put one of the twenties in play. We sat there playing for so long, we got the pit boss to comp our dinner. Best of all, when we walked away, I left with $100 in my pocket.
My email has reminded me that a certain birthday is coming on Monday. The casino tonight reminded me as well. It wasn't poker, but I had a scapegoat sort of night with the cards. And last I checked, that's a good thing!
*grin*
