New(ish) Friends

A quick note.

This last weekend, I found out that several of the people at church who arrived early this year and are exploring Orthodox Christianity are also blogging their experiences and thoughts. Their background was Vineyard. They left the standard format evangelical world to give the emerging church a try. Now they're spending a year considering Orthodoxy. (That's what they say, but I think they'll decide to stay with us!)

If you are even a little bit curious, by all means, go see what Jason, Debbie, and Mark are saying. Barbara is blogging as well, and if she knows she's got readers, perhaps she'll post more often! ;)

Oh boy, Christina!
You are not making it easy to stay objective about our decision to become Orthodox. We are really enjoying all of the people at the church. We are making friends and our kids are making friends. Oh, that we could have come like flies upon the wall, unobtrusive visitors stopping by to observe without disturbing the native goings-on. Now, we have become, somewhat, a part of the whole, enmeshed... unable to disentangle without causing damage. Lord, have mercy.

Hi Christina. Thanks for linking to our blogs. I've enjoyed reading your posts as you have processed your experiences in Orthodoxy. They are very wonderful reflections and have helped me especially to relive Holy Week and Pascha.
